At b.l.a.c. minerals we strive to produce mineral makeup using only the highest quality of ingredients. b.l.a.c minerals is unique and special in that it creates all of its products with women of color in mind, most mineral makeup companies today fail at doing this. We pride ourselves on offering a much needed product to an ever-growing segment of consumers.

A.   Mineral makeup is so easy to use it’s sometimes seems too good to be true. It is truly as easy as the famous saying “Swirl, Tap, Buff”

A.   Yes! Unlike traditional liquid foundations our mineral makeup has water resistant properties. It can withstand humidity, workouts, and active lifestyles.

A.   Yes the ingredients Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide are known to offer broad spectrum sun protection as one of its wonderful properties (although our makeup provides protection, extra UV protection is always recommended)

A.   b.l.a.c. minerals has great staying power. You can put it on in the morning and need almost no re-touches throughout the day. Another great advantage of using b.l.a.c minerals is it ability to work with your skin type. Our mineral makeup works with the natural oils and warmth of your skin to provide the most natural look and effect. In essence our mineral makeup looks better the longer you wear. (this is especially true for our wonderful setting powders and foundations)

A.   The amount of coverage is entirely up to you. The beauty of mineral makeup is that it is buildable. You can start with a small amount to see how it looks, if more is needed simply add more powder. It truly offers coverage in the most versatile ways.

A.   The irritating feeling is cause mainly by the ingredient Bismuth Oxychloride. This is used in many so called natural mineral makeups because it is a cheap inexpensive filler that has binding qualities which allow the makeup to stick to the skin. Due to its chemical makeup it is viewed as shiny which makes it highly reflective. This ability to reflect can help camouflage certain aspects of the face like fine lines and wrinkles. While considered a natural element this ingredient chemically resembles arsenic and is very heavy, making it hard for many people to wear. Also due to its molecular shape it causes itching in many women. This ingredient can be excluded from mineral makeup and substituted for true natural substances that can produce a glow-like appearance and adhere to the skin, and that is what we at b.l.a.c. minerals have done. We do not use inexpensive fillers, because we believe that our makeup should be a small luxury for our customers.

A.   Yes, mineral makeup has natural ingredients that control shine. The benefit to using our makeup is that it works with your skin. This allows the makeup to be evenly distributed. This creates a wonderful even healthy look. For extra control on oily skin we offer oil absorbing stones, which is ground clay from the earth that quickly absorbs excess oil. This products can be used a primer before applying our foundation or after. It is great to carry around and use as a touch up throughout the day.

A.   We strive to achieve a true-color match for all colors displayed. But in reality colors can never be identical to shade and hue, due to various factors such as lighting, variances in computer monitors etc. While all colors are as close to the actual product some may vary due to the reasons above. We know this is a major concern when purchasing products sight unseen, and try to make the process easier by offering samples. As of now we offer samples of our foundations as those are the most important colors to match to the skin. Being that we took the time to create a wonderful complementary product for ethnic women, our colors are extremely versatile. Believe me you won’t be disappointed with whatever shade/colors you buy. They truly are amazing.

A.   WE DO NOT accept returns on all OPEN, USED, TAMPERED products due to FDA regulations. It is unsanitary to accept products such as these.
WE DO however offer returns on UNOPENED, UNUSED,UN-TAMPERED with products as we understand reason for purchasing can change.(**please read our Term and Conditions Policy for further information)
